How it all started

Cityhomestay was created in 2015 as a sister company to Doctor in the House, recognising the growing need for reliable and personal accommodation for travelling professionals.
 
Doctor in the House was established over 32 years ago, offering homestay accommodation for medical professionals. From small beginnings the company grew, and developed a strong client base and network of high quality homestay and flat-let accommodation with reliable Hosts.
 
As Doctor in the House grew, the company received more accommodation requests from non-medical professionals. In recognition of this expanding client base we set up Cityhomestay as a sister company, offering similar services to a more diverse audience.
 

How it works

To get started we ask you to fill out an enquiry form to give us an idea of exactly what you are looking for.
 
We will handpick a selection of suitable accommodation options to choose from, based on your accommodation and location preferences, and send you a microsite link for each one. These private microsites are curated by the host and showcase images and written descriptions of their accommodation and the surrounding area so that you can make an informed choice.
 
Once you’ve confirmed your preferred option and paid your deposit we will send you the Host’s full details so that you can get in touch. However, if you have any questions ahead of your arrival we are always here to help, and will provide plenty of information on transport links and amenities in your Host’s area so that you can easily settle in.
