This is just a quick note to let you know that over the weekend I did make an advance payment to reserve the accommodation. I will contact the owner prior to my visit as you suggest. Thank you very much for your assistance! The entire process has been seamless and I’m very much looking forward to my stay.

I’d like to provide some belated feedback on staying at Ivy’s house, as above, recently. It was brilliant! The house and room were clean and tidy, and had all the amenities I’d need. Ivy herself was friendly and helpful – I can imagine her being a godsend to anyone who didn’t know the UK. Breakfast was excellent! – I chose cereal, but a food to make a cooked breakfast was there too. I didn’t quite know what restrictions to expect, if any, staying after all in someone’s house, but in fact Ivy gave me complete freedom; she was entirely unobtrusive. I found its location perfect: in a quiet mews, but with nearby pubs, and within easy walking distance of Islington buzz, Angel and Highgate tubes and Moorfields Eye Hospital. I’d definitely recommend staying at her house to anyone else, particularly those from overseas. I hope this is helpful to know; please pass on my thanks and regards to Ivy for a lovely stay.
